We are brave and not afraid to experiment with new materials and techniques to create truly unique and authentic designs. We carefully curate the colors and textures to capture the essence of each destination, allowing you to carry a piece of some of the most unique places wherever you go!
CRAFTSMANSHIP
We are committed to creating high quality products with a story which you will be proud to carry with you as you explore the world. To do that, we work with local communities and the finest artisans who create each of our bamboo and reed bags by hand.
Bamboo is extremely durable and grows in most Asian countries. Once the raw material is available, it is softened and cleaned with salty water from the ocean. When our artisan craftsmen receive the processed bamboo in rolls, they cut it in sticks and adjust it to the desired size of the bag. It is a very precise job as the material is quite sharp and our artisans need to use sandpaper to make it smooth and clean. Each bag is then coloured and sundried for more than 48 hours. The last step of the process of making a bamboo bag is to add the inner lining and any additional embellishments.
Before the products are shipped to us in Europe, each model is carefully inspected for any defects to ensure it meets the highest quality standard. Your bag is then packaged in an eco-friendly recycled cardboard box and a 100% reusable cotton dust bag. This holistic process ensures our commitment in reducing waste across the value chain by bringing sustainably produced products that are available for you to carry around the world!
