RIO DE JANEIRO
Rio de Janeiro is the heart of Brazil, known for its natural tropical setting, bossa nova, architecture, sandy beaches such as Copacabana and Ipanema and of course its one of a kind Carnival. It is also home to some of the world’s most famous historical sites such as the Christ the Redeemer Statue and the Sugarloaf Mountain which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2012.
The iconic Carnival featuring parade floats, flamboyant costumes and magical spectacles has inspired our Rio de Janeiro bag with its straws dancing like a samba dancer. The first Carnival festival in Rio occurred in 1723, today it is the biggest carnival in the world and is definitely on our bucket list!
